Went to Amsterdam a couple years ago where it snowed all 4 days I was there - 1st snow in 25 years according to the locals. Nothing keeps those people off their bikes!:

I just got back from a few days in Budapest. The most impressive thing I saw, besides the architecture, were bike riders commuting in the dead of winter.

You gotta be serious to ride in freezing temperatures through heavy traffic. Half the riders I saw were on classic steel converted to single speed.

I pulled one rider over to ask where he got his equipment ... when I went to the shop it was closed. But he gave me another address: http://www.matuzmaster.hu/english Seems like a British fellow collects old Italian shop stock to resell either in Hungary or over the internet. Well worth a look or a warm welcome:

Geoff Burgess. Tel: +36-30-9510-881 Fax:+36-24-370-226 http://www.matuzmaster.hu geoffb@t-email.hu

He may even have original Cinelli seat post bolts.

Happy Holidays
