Now, I thought it wasn't a choice one had to make? Wasn't the point of the "All-Rounder" models, like my Holdsworth Super Mistral, was that they were designed to be ridden with 27 x 1 1/4 Dunlop HP and wire-ons for daily riding, club rides and training with or without 'guards or 27" (700) sprints for time-trialing etc? All back in the days when roads were poor(er), sew-ups not anywhere as durable as they are today and expensive. So that it was common to have and use two wheelsets on one versitile frame??
