John- My biggest riding and fabricating mentor of my youth, named his self made steed "Smaug". This bike was patterned after his... 1969 Raleigh Pro. He rode the Pro, then Smaug, for 30+ years. A recent commuting accident has left him somewhat forgetful so he now guides his canoe on the local bay. No mater where he or his thoughts are he only has to look at the shore line and then can find his way back to dock.
His Pro was always a handsome bike, even with it's Weinmann 999s. Thank you for jogging this memory
