Check out the white Confente (#48) on the CR site:

http://www.classicrendezvous.com/USA/Confente/confente_48_pg_2.htm

It appears to have a similar binder bolt (if not the identical bolt) as the one in the auction. Other Confentes appear fitted with the chromed steel Campagnolo bolt.

It doesn't look like it is chromed, I would think most of the Confentes out there are show bikes, it certainly would not look appropriate on a nice bike. Now if someone had a early 70's bike that was well ridden, used as a racing bike but not abused, well then that binder bolt would look right at home on a bike like that. I wonder if there is such a bike? ( ;

Back to the question of weather Mario made components, my guess is that he had that made But that is just a guess, am certainly not an expert on what Mario did or didn't do just a big fan of his bikes

The binder looks just like the ones used in Medici's. Except for the lettering which would then read "Rexart Medici". I wrote the seller and he said the binder did come out of a Medici.
