Actually, Stronglight used smaller hex-head bolts and long shaft hex "nuts" on the 5-arm model 57 cranks. Their first use of the larger hollow 10 mm. bolts for Allen hex wrench (like Campy used) was the model 63 (around 1963).

[ And, of course, they also continued to use small bolt holes for similar nuts and bolts for the chainrings of the model 49d 5-pin cranks for some time as well, before finally converting those to the larger drillings, too.]
