So?how do we feel about the Claud Butler marque?

CB sold his 'name' off to Holdsworth in the 1960s and they made some fine cycles in the 1970 and '80s of course, of which I am the proud owner of a couple of examples - but I don't really regard them as true CBs - especially as I also own a pukka lugless CB from 1951.

The CB name then has been passed through various hands and anything you see now with the logo on is almost certainly Far Eastern build (?*) and an MTB...

*Excepting I picked up a 'new' CB tig-welded road racing frame about 6-7 years ago from St John Street Cycles in Bridgewater UK which was Reynolds 631 main tubes and Hi-Ten fork and stays which may or may not have been fabricated in the UK. Indeed I also own a fully lugged CB racing frame (no mudguard eyes etc., and with close clearances) in full 531 which I purchased again from SJSC new in 2005. Where was that sourced? - and can you regard any of them as real Claud Butlers..?
