A friend of a friend asked me to do some touchup on his wife's early 80's Colnago. It's the "Saronni Red", a sort of transparent red that is quite common thanks to a certain World Champion from Italy.

I'm a seasoned painter but thought someone here knew exacty what the color of the base coat is and also a source for the proper transparent top coat. Any information is useful, otherwise, I'll just have to do some experimenting.
