Subject: [CR]Classic British Wheelset- for sale, or trade....

Ciao, Tifosi!

I have an extremely nice set of wheels, to sell or trade off....these came from a c.1959 Carlton 'Flyer'. Hubs are 'Airlite' hi-flange, Quick-Release, 40/32. Rims are Dunlop 'High Pressure Lightweight' steel. Freewheel is a British 'Cyclo', 3 pawls, 5-speed, 14-24. There is absolutely NO rust anywhere; the usual light 'bubbling' on the hub center sections, and a couple of places where the chrome is worn thru on the skewers. There is very little mileage on this set- no visible brake wear on the rims, no dents or flat spots, freewheel is fresh, the original 'Brampton' chain (also included) shows almost no wear on my Park chain wear guage. Spokes are unknown maker 15/16 guage DB stainless. I have overhauled the hubs & freewheel, trued the rims, and cleaned/polished everything- they are truly show quality. Cash price is $375, plus shipping, OR- I will consider trades for : a similar vintage wheelset w/ alloy rims (prefer 700c), a decent condition 50's-60-s vintage British, Italian or French track frameset , or really cool cycling memorabilia from days gone by...posters, original manuals & catalogs, store signs & such....let me know what ya got! Pics available, if'n yer serious.
