Nah, it's just cogs, not a gearing thing like that Multiplicator.

But Bob, Bob, Bob -- If you're going to drag the UC Davis cycle collection into the conversation (and tempt Dale to ban us for skirting the front end of on-topic), I'd say there's another bike in there that's got some similarity. Not because of the drivetrain, but the funky use of a bonus chain.

And while you're all checking out the bike, yes, those ARE panels of mother-of-pearl inlaid into the headtube. And metal filigree and combined with cloisonne down the rest of the frame (at least, what remains of the original work). Sooner or later, this will catch on with the racers.
