Hi Joseph:

Welcome to the Classic Rendezvous e-list...

By now you may have figured out that the host soft ware for the CR list does not allow attachments so your pics didn't make it... You need to publish them to one of the many online photo hosting services and then supply us with a link to see them. ? Also, the CR e-list rules require a complete sign off of every message. Better read the rules, they were sent to you as part of the Welcome message and are here all the time: http://www.classicrendezvous.com/CR_list_rules.htm

Finally, re: your Ciocc cross frame. The Oria tubing (Italian) made of Mannesman steel (German) is a pretty common 1980s era bikes... Usually used in second tier models but not always...

Thanks Dale

I recently picked up a garage sale Ciocc. It is a cyclecross frame (48 seat/50 top, 42 chain stay with a 130mm spacing). Rear brake cable routs through top tube. Braze on cantilever brake mounts (only) braze on front derailleur. What seems odd to me is the tubeset: the sticker says Oria prodotto base Mannesmann. There is a 48 (frame size) and 624 94 stamped on the BB. No cut outs or stamps on the tubes. Is anyone familiar with this frame? Is it a true Ciocc cyclocross made from German steel? I've attached a few pics to the email. Thanks in advance for any help. Cheers Joseph
