Subject: [CR]suntour bar-con springs; now heat helps

Frank,

I wondered if you found a spring for that bar-con yet. I had a "parts pair" that was fully seized, so I wasn't sure about them. Anyway, I figured I should try to "unseize" them, which I did. I again must extole heat as a bond breaker in many instances, and specifically the use of a heat-gun to generate that heat. I have a variable heat model that serves many useful purposes. I got a pair of Nervar crank bolt covers out with heat last week. (The allen head holes that alway strip out.) Anyway I have the spring steel that had the phillips head screw going thru it, if ya still need it. I got one working shifter out of the exercise, to boot. "Now, where was that Sachs with the frozen seat post....."
