I have a Saronni that I purchased new in about 1983. It has a picture of World Road Champion Beppe Saronni on the headtube. I bought it new from Ochsner Cycle Supply in Chicago. I was told it was made of Columbus Aelle tubing in the Colnago factory.

When other list members hear Aelle tubing, they seem to lose interest, and I don't understand why when there is a lot of chatter about low end Peugeots and other bikes that are considerably inferior in ride quality, IMHO. less hot here today, it's been a scorcher this week, but that's normal, as it's RAGBRAI time in Iowa.
