IMO, I would be careful with paint pens. While I have never used them for pinstriping, I do use them quite a bit for art and design work. Overall, they are pretty unreliable, especially when going for long lines or strokes.

The paint flow is not even, and if you 'pump' while drawing, you can end up with splotches. Additionally, if you 'go over' lines that are not totally dry, the oil paint can actually make the line worse.

If you do go the paint pen route, use a fresh pen that is primed before you draw. Wait a couple of hours if you need to go back over and don't back up (go back over the lines while you are drawing). Make sure the pen stays clean and the cap goes back on the minute you are done.

Lastly, Steven's recco of sharpie paint pens is pretty spot on. Deco-color tend to block up pretty easy and completely stay away from Krylon.

Just my two cents.
