Jerry, Just a little fyi. The codes are usually stamped on the body with the first letter indicating the year and the second letter indicating the month. The earlier the letters (a,b,c) indicate the later years 84-? Here's a link to help identify.

I have to admit, I am not at all familair with the two-character codes you quoted. Do these appear on the derailleur body? If so, where? Do codes later in the alphabet indicate newer models? The SunTour models I remember are V, Vx, V Luxe (And I am unclear as to the differences between these, perhaps Vx and V Luxe were the same.) Cyclone and Superbe. Obviously, there were a great many more models than that, including several in the list you offered. It's almost like Simplex in the late 70's and the 80's. There were so many models that one almost needs a photo to know what the one on offer is.

Perhaps another reason for the seeming lack of interest is that some US CR members may fear that recent postage increases might make these expensive to ship from UK to US. And some feel uneasy sending cash least it may be lost in the mail.

On the 4th.July ,last Wedneday, I posted 7no. Sun Tour rear mechs for sale. All of these are in perfect condition ,yet not one reply , no interest , no questions and no feedback asked for. How unusual , are they of no value at all? I was careful to check the year coding to keep in line with the CR ruling .

SO, I pose the question ,are these beautifully manufactured items not wanted anymore or was my pricing too expensive, is the monetary exchange rate and shipping now too expensive or for any ot her reason ? It appears they will now be doomed to be dumped at the local tip and destroyed/recycled!

I cannot believe that these goods are not of some use to someone. My reason for making some charge would have gone to The Somerset and Dorset Helicopter Ambulance service appeal , the c harity I have always supported and raised money for.

End of story!!
