Hello everyone,

I am a new poster but have been lurking for about six months. I got turned on to the list via Steven Willets @ the bike stand in N.J (a great mechanic & human being). I am the proud owner of two vintage Redcay touring bikes (one lugged one fillet brazed) A Frank Peckham road bike, & a Fat Chance Bro Eddy mountain bike, plus a few OT bikes. As far as removing anodizing from aluminum a technique we used back in the BMX days was to spray the part with EZ off oven cleaner & then put it in the oven at 200 degrees for approx. 20 minutes. The finish would then wipe right off & the aluminum could be polished to a mirror shine with Mothers mag cleaner. Anyway, hello to everyone & thanks for all the great info.
