A friend gave me an early 70s St. Etienne a few months back: decal indicated Reynolds 531 main tubes, Simplex dropouts, Nervar Star crankset, Mafac Racer brakes, Simplex mechs, Mavic tubular rims with Exceltoo Super Competition hubs, Ideale 39 saddle, St. Etienne/ Belleri bars and stem. I gave it a spray can repaint and turned it in to a porteur:
