I called eBay to ask them about your question. The site is indeed a Beta version. Essentially, the rep said not to get too worked up over the fact that clicking on Vintage Parts takes one to this generic category ("Bicycle Parts & Accessories"). He told me that when they finish their work, some of the category names may change, but not the specificity of those categories. So I took that to mean there would still be a "Vintage Parts" category, just possibly by a different name.

You probably know this, but if you're in that Beta site (playground.ebay.com), you can revert to the old listings by clicking on "Go to the regular eBay" at the top of the page. Also, there is still time to provide them with feedback on this. He said they probably won't roll out these changes until sometime this Fall.

P.S. The rep added that they're going to allow us to set up filters within eBay to make it easier to find things.
