Ted and Bob,

The "Masi Team" is not the correct name for the club in question. It was the Carlsbad Bicycle Club sponsored by "Auto Fast Freight" which was ow ned by an Italian gentleman named Luciano. He became buddies with Falier o and Mario and was their first connection to the Italian-American commu nity in the United States. Mario took advantage of these relationships u ntil his passing.

Gian Simonetti was the "Head Cheese" of the AAF CBC and many of its memb ers worked at Masi in Carlsbad at the time. That would have included me. I see the old jerseys around once in a blue moon.

Brian Baylis La Mesa, CA

Enjoyed Velo Rendezvous immensely. Now looking VERY forward to the Cirqu e in Leesburg. Spent a lot of time with Wayne while he was here and I'm impressed with his concepts for the new event.

I remember that name. I think the Freight guys were connected somehow by riding or a friend of

some club member. That info should be accurate in time and content. Ted Ernst Palos Verdes Estates CA USA
