Dale Mark Dinucci 57 cm bike on eBay is not an unusual frame. It is just a frame built in Portland by a person working for a name frame builder or builders. Yes he did great work looking at this frame but if we start listing all the? secondary frame builders who never built under their own name were would the list end. Davidsons Hand Built Frames main frame builder been there 16 years. Do we name him on a KOF list. I emailed seller many times and he is convinced he has the next Holy grail in KOF builders and when I was in touch wanted over $1500. Looks like his asking price has dropped a bit making at $635 worth considering Charles Nighbor Walnut Creek

Just to be accurate, Mark DiNucci is not "just a person building for a name frame builder" who "never built under their own name." DiNucci?did build?under his own name in the early 1980's. I also think, to move from fact to opinion, that he's held in pretty high regard by at least some framebuilders to whom we extend the KOF designation without debate, Brian Baylis being one, if the I'm reading the archives correctly. Yeah, the ultra-thin lug thing might have been a bit of a fad, but DiNucci seems to have been one of a pretty small group of U.S. builders doing that level of lugwork in the early and mid-70's, at least from the standpoint of the file flourishing so near and dear to so many listmembers. I don't personally think $1500 is at all out of line for that bike.
