Finally - it took me since March 2005, but with ALL the great help from you on the list, my Paramount is indeed on the road. Today I took a quick ride up and over Sepulveda Blvd, to have coffee down in Manhattan Beach. All checked out fine (well, I will need to fix those darn squeeling side pull campy brakes!)

I had so much good guidance - a few notables; Charles pointed me to these super nice 28mm sewups, called the Challenge Paris Roubaix - [JUST noticed Yellow Jersey now says theyre discontinued !]. Wes told me the right way to mount barend shifters (involving pipe cutters!). And thanks again to Tom for getting us the leather bar wrapping - note the RED dyed versions in the pics below.

I was motivated to mount that Stronglight triple because I wanted something I could use on our local 'Mt Baldy Climb' ride, which seems to occur in the fall or early winter. The fatty sewups were also targeted for that ride, because on the hair raising descent down the fast (and busy!) mountain road, there are numerous asphalt 'cracks' that are kind of interesting at high speed !

For the 'Wish list' - wouldn't it be cool if Honjo made their 'smooth' fenders...but in a 32mm 'Shorty' version ???

Thanks again
