I'll bite and show a photo of my former 3Rensho that I believe exhibits un-thinned lugs. They are short point lugs, and although they don't show any signs of thinning, it didn't bother me. The seat lug was also left virtually unthinned. The lugs were was one of the first things I noticed when I received the frame. I've built a few racing frames while I owned an LBS back in the early 80's. FYI, I used cast lugs exclusively, and I did most of my lug thinning before I brazed them up.
