So I've run across a Moto "Le Champ" in my size and it is a truly beautiful frame - great finishing, lug edges are razor sharp, minimal brazing alloy, and stay ends chamfered to perfection. In short, great workmanship in evidence. I ran my hand under the fork crown, copping a feel so to speak.

THERE IS A FRIGGIN WOOD PLUG IN THE BOTTOM OF THE STEERER TOOB. IT IS DRILLED FOR THE BRAKE.

You know I'd read about this but never seen one. Now I understand what it meant to find Faliero's card inside a Masi bottom bracket.

So any of you other Le Champ or Team Champ owners - does your bike have this?
