Subject: [CR]looking for a vintage bike expert

Hi,

I'm a writer in Durham, NC (USA) with a newspaper column covering the local cycling community.

I'm doing a little research into the history of the use of bicycles in Durham. I've run across a couple of interesting photographs from the late 1800s/early 1900s. They are definitely pre-1910, but that may be as much as I can tell about the dates.

I'm looking for someone with knowledge of vintage bicycles from this era, someone who can help me identify the bikes in the photographs and tell me a little about them.

If you or anyone you know can help, feel free to email me off-list, and I'll set up a time to talk with you at your convenience. I can also send digital scans of the photos if you're not local.

Thanks, and any help is appreciated.

phillip
