Heinz Müller rode a Bauer to WC fame in the 1952 Worlds. They have a bunch of very nice bikes from the time; kinda lost out in the 70s and have recently tried to make a comeback with road bikes (see http://www.bauerbike.de/
The older top tier ones are built with 531, some sporting chrome, others not. There are some on wooljersey.
