Am I on there someplace? They shot a video of me working on a Raleigh 753 in the hall of an engineering school dorm at CU Boulder. I had silver wire rim glasses and long blonde hair...then. I've heard they used that footage but have never seen it. This would have been from 1978-1983 when I worked the race as head mechanic for the US SRC Raleigh team out of Ames, IA....Michaels Cyclery. I got the Campagnolo Mechanics Award in 1980 so it might have been that year...lots of stories!
>From 1985-1988 (last year for the Coor's Classic) I approved the race permit applications, issued the USCF race permits, insurance certs, and appointed the race officials as I was the first USF Technical Director. Even more stories...

Also, I now have my DVD copy of "The Iron Men of Raleigh." 28 minutes minus the intro of the 1978 Tour of The Mediterranean "starring" Gerald O'Donovan, Jan LeGrand, Peter Post, and narrated by Phil Liggett(sp?). Lots of frame building, frame testing, internal team and factory things and racing all on the TI Team red black and yellow 753's!

I'm now looking into getting a cheap DVD burner to make copies.
