Further to the discussions of riding style and position I have scanned and posted an article from Cycling 21 May 1947 entitled "Studies in Style" by Charles Fearnley - HealthExpert" on my Wooljersey account. I have only now activated my account (which has been unused for a couple of years) and I am hoping that I have done things right and have given the right link:

This is an interesting read about different riding styles and positions - focussed on a few notables of the time. Interesting discussion of period cycling philosophies!

Curious to hear people's views!
