CRers,

The whole bike handeling topic is extremely subjective. Most riders can rea dily adapt to each bike unique feel. But one thing that must be taken into account is the bike in question is properly "set-up". Starting with frame a lignment, hub bearing condition and end play, wheel dish, tire selection an d pressure and one of the most neglected components on most bikes, the head set. After frame alignment problems nothing will affect the bikes feel more than a headset that suffers from any of the following problems; brinelling , hardened grease, improper ajustment, etc..

So before you label one of your bikes as a poor handling (or a non hands fr ee bike) do some quick checks and a little maintenance. It can be a dramati c difference!
