Hi all,

I'm looking forward to flying up this upcoming Friday and spending a long weekend in Portland at the Hand Built Bicycle show. From what I read, it will be larger than last year - which sure makes sense given the new venue this year. I look forward to seeing many of you there. (I'm gonna put a 'CR' sticker on my badge !)

I've also been fortunate to become the new keeper of a Fuji touring bike from a Portland bike fellow, and will be picking it up from him this weekend. I've decided to save the shipping cost and RIDE it back to California (in several stages!) - and will hopefully be mounting fenders and other accessories, and tuning up the lightly used 80's bike during my stay. The Favor - Would one of you be WILLING to let the little Fuji come stay at your place until I return in July ?? Now I KNOW the immensity of this request, as only a bicycle collecting, obsessed soul would . Heck, if you could see my garage you would realize how the request to store ONE more bike there, by even a good friend, is not trivial request!! If any of you would be able to help me store the bike somewhere out of the weather, I would be very grateful !! You can contact me off'list, or via my cell at 818) 522-3329.

Look forward to seeing you at the show.
