i agree, but he was more than a guru. he was a bike guru's bike guru. i read his every post even when on a thread i wasn't reading. besides his knowledge, which was usualy the final word, i just admired his way of responding even when others were getting excercised. he was always to the point, always decent, even kind and patient, yes, witty. truly an admirable guy. i never met him, but i'm still in shock and very sad. what a loss. he will not be forgotten. devon warner san francisco, usa

\r?\n> I'll miss Sheldon very much. Not only was he a guru
\r?\n> of the bicycle, but
\r?\n> he was well-read, witty and entertaining to read. He
\r?\n> did more for the
\r?\n> bicycle culture than anyone else I know. He was kind
\r?\n> and gentle and
\r?\n> generous. I felt like I knew him.
