Subject: [CR]Advice on 1970 Touring Paramount

Well, having just wrapped up the 650B World Voyageur, the next project is already upon me. Just received this all-chrome touring model Paramount:

http://ebay.com/<blah>

Listed as 1969, but SS# J7026 would be the 26th Paramount built in Sept 1970. That's pretty close dating for an eBay listing.

Note the half-ton Campy Grand Tourismo RD. Anyone know when the Shimano Crane GS was introduced, and when it first appeared on touring Paramounts? I think my chances of a correct RD that weighs less than the frame are slim, but it's worth asking.

Also I am surprised to see the DT Campy shifters, when most touring Paramounts I've seen have had Suntour racheted barends. Is 1970 too early for the Suntour barends? If so, were Campy or Simplex barends an option on Paramount in 1970?

Anyone have a set of "Schwinn Approved" Suntour barends? I have several pairs, but none marked as "Schwinn Approved".

Finally, anyone have a set of red Hunt-Wilde bar tape? For me this is the "only" tape to use on a chrome Paramount, but I've used up my stash. I will pay cash, or have most other Hunt-Wilde colors to trade.
