Most published guidance says it's OK to do ONCE, clean and greased well from the first installation. BUT COMMIT to your choice.

Look at the numbers ... if inches 1.370" x 24tpi British 1.378" x 24tpi Italian

Look at the numbers ... if metric 34.80mm x 1.058mm British 35.00mm x 1.058mm Italian
