I agree, it's not easy to comprehend what's going on with prices. I've also noticed, and, incidently, paid, higher prices for certain parts, yet, I've heard that 50th Anniversary Group prices have diminished. I wonder what effect the weak dollar and increased shipping costs are having on the sales of bike and bike parts offered by European dealers? Perhaps foreign collectors will now have the upper hand in the American vintage bike market?

\r?\n> but I have

\r?\n> noticed a big increase in what some stuff sells for lately. I

\r?\n> need a few

\r?\n> parts for a couple projects, like Campy SR rear derailers. Back

\r?\n> in the fall,

\r?\n> I remember decent used ones going for $50-75 with occasional

\r?\n> ones higher.

\r?\n> The last 4-5 I was watching all went for around $100. Cinelli 1r

\r?\n> stems also

\r?\n> seem to be roughly double what they used to be. And there's

\r?\n> stuff like this

\r?\n> ame=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=017

\r?\n> Item 270212484214 in case the URL wont wrap right

\r?\n> $91 for a couple AX cages and a bottle? I'm happy for the

\r?\n> seller, but if

\r?\n> that's where prices are going to stay, my projects will be

\r?\n> delayed a bit

\r?\n> more than usual.

\r?\n> I'm really hoping this is just a seasonal thing with everyone

\r?\n> looking for

\r?\n> that last part or two, but I have a feeling it's not.

\r?\n> Take a look a this ebay auction that just ended:

\r?\n> 130198480975

\r?\n> $1774.95 for what really amounts to a set of no-name Campy

\r?\n> brakes. I know

\r?\n> no-name brakes are rare and expensive, but the last set I saw on

\r?\n> ebay went

\r?\n> for ~$400.00 or so. Has anyone seem these brakes for anything

\r?\n> near this

\r?\n> amount? (I figured the other parts were worth $300 or so...)
