Dan, It's a lovely way to do a 2-3 day tour. Especially if you can find a scenic route with picturesque small towns every few miles. Like the 3 speed tour that Peter mentioned. The 3ST started out with a couple of gents talking about the sort of rides shown on the 1955 videos. They contacted a few like minded folks and we had 13 riders the 1st year. Now they have to cut the ride off at 100 because we overtax the eateries along the way.

Two local shop owners were inspired by the 1955 videos to organize a small group to take an early morning train from Mpls/StPaul to Winona MN and ride back 120 miles along the Mississippi the same day. Saner folk would take two days. Jane and I would take 3.
