I think I still have a Pierce Arrow bicycle. They made some interesting bikes back before the turn of the century. I have somewhere a fully suspended Pierce. Mine has a shock where the rear seat stays are and a special handlebar with a shock built in. Pretty innovative for that time period. They also made a leaf spring front fork that looked just beautiful.
They made bikes in two locations I know of. Buffalo and Angola NY. The Buffalo are the rarer models as it was the original location. A Buffalo head badge will bring considerable more money than an Angola one at auction. I will look around to see if I have any literature that may be of help to you.
BTW, there is a great museum in Buffalo for Antique bikes. It is the Pedaling History Bicycle Museum run by Carl Burgwardt a real gentleman. Also, you can usually see Carl at Copake bicycle auctions or Hershey auto show in the fall. He puts on a pretty good display of things for sale.
You can learn more about it here.
