Finally finished my first re-paint. I use the term re-paint as opposed to restoration. That's because it's not period correct. I used the decals and parts I had on hand. I also took the liberty to spice it up a bit. The reason the lugs are painted is because when I purchased the frame it was all blue powder coat. Whoever did that re-paint sanded all the chrome off the lugs, but I still wanted them to stand out. Since this was to be a practice job new chrome was not an option. I Also took the liberty of applying two coats of gold metalflake on the whole frame before clear coat. Might be visable in a few of the pics. Paint and clear coat is a little heavy, pretty much trial and error on this one. Hopefully will get a little better on the next one... Advise is welcome...Good and bad...If interested take a look....
