Very nice, Peter. I have a near identical one, but I got it as a complete bike in excellent condition, so I did much less work than you did. I only had to change the stem length and install new tires and cables. Excellent job touching up and building up yours. Falcon really did make outstanding bikes in the 60's and very early 70's. Unfortunate that their reputation was damaged by some rather marginal stuff they produced during the bike boom.

This was acquired in December on eBay as a frameset. I had always wanted a Falcon San Remo and although a popular model, they seem rare indeed especially in my frame size. As the frame is all-chromed under the trademark Falcon Baby Blue livery, it had more than its fair share of paint chips but after the local McCormack Paint Store perfectly matched the paint, the touch up process was quite effective and the results are, to me anyway, most gratifying. Baby Blue, white and chrome make for a handsome Lincolnshire Lass indeed and this one sweet riding machine. Just delightful and raring to run the London-Holyhead! Now if I could just find a Falcon Team jersey....
