I've acquired a very early Chris King headset I'm considering putting to good use.
Chris hisself says this one dates back to 1978-79.
It's sealed bearing, 1" threaded, black, and without the garish logos as today's have.
I note the crown race ("baseplate" in CK-speak) is aluminum.
I wonder if that's a good idea wear-wise or would I do better to replace that part with some sturdier substance?
