ATTENTION ALL LIST MEMBERS!!!!!!!!:

Spring is in the air! And in the spirit of shining sun and spinning wheels, it's time once again for the more or less monthly meeting of the Brooklyn Velodrome Vintage Wheelmen.

The BVVW group is comprised of about 25 hardcore certified freaks, who will hangout and talk bike stuff for about 2 hours. The BVVW is a tangent of Gr uppo Sportivo Pergolizzi.

This will be an informal gathering of all N.Y. metro area cyclists who shar e an interest in vintage bicycles and cycling history. As always, youse is all invited.

The meeting will take place on Thursday, March 6, 2008 at 6:30PM.

Dave Perry\u2019s BIKE WORKS NYC 106 Ridge Street (in Manhattan\u2019s Lower East Side)

Just 5 blocks from the Essex-Delancy F, J, M, Z, subway stop. 1 block from the Williamsburg Bridge.

This month\u2019s theme: \u201cCycling Sundries\u201d. Please bring caps, water bott les, mussettes and other odds n\u2019 ends (and the stories that go with them) to share with the gang!

Hopefully, Mikey Schmidt can also give us a NAHBS report.

Plans for a bite and a beer to follow.

Also, stay tuned for info regarding an upcoming BVVW movie night at Brookly n\u2019s own AFFINITY CYCLES at the end of the month.

Jason at Affinity has offered to host a screening (with the help of his sho p\u2019s projector and large white wall) of either \u201cStars and Watercarriers \u201d or \u201cThe Impossible Hour\u201d.

Both films are directed by Jorgen Leth of \u201cA Sunday in Hell\u201d fame. \u201cStars and Watercarriers\u201d documents the 1973 Giro d\u2019Italia and \u201cThe Impossible Hour\u201d follows Danish star Ole Ritter\u2019s attempts to regain h is hour from Eddy Merckx.
