I looked at the photos of this frame in question. It's a nice frame; but it doesn't look like DiNucci work to me. At least it doesn't look like the Strawberries I saw from the early 70's. It's probabaly a Strawberry frame, but It doesn't look like a DiNucci made frame. I've seen only a f ew in my life and those were many years ago (about 35).
Peter Johnson mentioned to me that his opinion of Mark DiNucci is that M ark is one of the most gifter and naturally talented people he's ever me t. I believe Mark has many talents beyond just beautiful frames. I ran i nto DiNucci, which I haven't seen since about 1985, at the Vanilla Shop framebuilders gathering on Friday night of NAHBS. We talked for a while. He told me something that was definitely one of the highlights of my vi sit to Portland. I learned a few things from Mark when Mike and I (as Wi zard Cycles) visited Strawberry in 1974 to buy some tubing and some lugs . I even bought a pair of those Huret dropouts which I used on my Mother 's mixte frame. Mark hipped me to some style points and some tricks to t hinning lugs before they go on the frame using a belt sander. Those two things helped me to become who I am today.
BTW, a DiNucci frame is even nicer and more refined than the frame in qu estion; at least the few I've seen are.

Some clarification. When I stated that by '76 DiNucci was building at Merz, that was after he left Strawberry. Don't think he went back there, but maybe. I can try and contact Andy Newlands and see if I can get a time-line, and maybe some info on the frame in question.
