I'll peg this bike at 5000.00...

Definitely nothing over 10,000.00...

If memory serves me correctly, gold plated bikes such as the two made for a Nieman Marcus show in the late seventies or early eighties were typically 14k gold plated.

So were Ale gold plated toe clips...14k gold...

I have two sets of 'em, brand new, never used or mounted - size medium.

Here's the problem with the 14k gold plating. Don't have to use it. Don't have to touch it...don't have to do anything period. You can bury it in a dust

free, moisture free, vacuum sealed room in Ft. Knox...and guess what...it will degrade all on its own.

Seriously, my two sets have sat out of sight, out of reach, never fondled for anything other than a light dusting by a real feather duster and all ready they

don't look anything good as they were when I obtained them in 1988.

I looked at the pics at eBay...what I saw there didn't look so bad compared to my Ale toe clips.

The asking price...gawd almighty...I'd sooner spend that kind of money on a Lamborghini Murcielago thank you...
