> Here's a link to a photo of the bike in the Colnago showroom/museum in Cambiago. It's a photo I took last year. The former Pope's bike isn't in great shape, it's behind glass and my photographic talents fall well short of Ray's.
> My estimate of the bike presently on eBay (which really isn't similar to the Pope's bike save that it's gilt) is about $145,000 short of Ray's and $245,000 shy of the seller's "Buy It Now" price.
> However, the eBay ad does say "Buy It Now or Best Offer".

> Doesn't the claimed weight of 18 lbs seem REALLY light for a gold plated colnago? Is gold lighter than paint? Maybe it's a thinner coating, the cranks are milled a bit which might save a little weight, and it has titanium pedal spindles too, (but a steel headset), but 18 lbs!
