In the interview, it seems that Ron was very much understating his situation with regard to having supplied frames to riders that were badged any number of ways. I suspect that he was being rather humble and gentlemanly by respecting agreements made 30 or so years ago. Recognizing that Ron was an accomplished club rider in his day and was so highly regarded by racing men, it seems very unlikely that he wouldn't have adhered to the gold WC requirement. I'm sure it would have created a pretty big stir if not substantiated in one way or the other.

His 1970's seat tube transfers were bounded top and bottom by rainbow bands with his name in the white before the stripes were added to the head transfer.
