I have over the years obtained a number of Zeus hubs, many from Baron and Cecile, at a good price, the catch being that they are French thread. I'm looking for usable used French thread FW's, preferably with 28T or larger large cog.
I do have a couple of SunTour metric FW's but they are mostly too narrow a range. I'm considering rebuilding them with more appropriate cogs. Can someone advise me on how difficult it is to rebuild SunTour FW's? The easiest FW's I have found are Maillard/Sachs Aris - just unscrew the outer cog and all the others slide on and off. Old Regina, by contrast, are absolute torture to rebuild. How does one disassemble SunTour clusters? To what extent can cogs be interchanged between various SunTour models?
