Subject: [CR]Ebay Etiquette

On the automotive list that I run (SwedishBricks), I have a rule of no ebay postings. I suggest that if list members want to sell stuff to other members, they should offer it to the list *before* it gets posted on ebay.

I acknowledge that this won't necessarily lead to revenue maximization, but it sure is easier to sell something to a list member than it is to post on ebay, deal with the zipperheads that submit stoopid! questions, etc. It also helps the community to support one another directly.

On the other hand, an early shot at something may indeed collect a good first price, and you don't have to wait 7-10 days before the auction closes...

I'm not suggesting that Dale change any rules for the list. I would appreciate learning about interesting stuff *before* it goes to ebay. I'm interested in racing and touring frames, and I ride a 50-52cm seat tube with a 51-52cm top tube. :)

Thanks,

Lee
