Hey Listers, To preserve the domestic tranquility, I find myself on the way to Florence, Italy in a couple of weeks for 7 days. Since I'm sure that my wife's pursuit of cultural enlightenment will exceed my ability to appreciate it, I'm looking for suggestions of uniquely Italian cycling related diversions in the Firenze area. I'll be staying in the center of the city, with no car. Is it possible (or wise) to rent a road bike (on topic preferred, but not required)to get out of the city for a days ride? Should I bring riding kit?
