I met him a few years ago at a US Bicycle Hall of Fame event (in Somerville NJ).
What a gracious fellow. Really focused on life and the good things, didn't seem at all down about his condition.
By the way, is anyone going to the vintage bicycle show/swap meet in Monson (sp?) Massachusetts this Sunday?
