ahoy !

i understand this does not directly address your request for a source of the cables but, i hope, instead may offer some solice should you encounter difficulties.

several years ago when i went on this same steel cable hunt, i was informed by a since forgotten source that ss cable was springy; and, that using the modern cable both at bar ends and rear mech. would provide more positive and secure shifting.

this observation may have been made within a cr list discussion on campag bar end shifters though i don't recall if generally speaking on campag bar ends or an improvement discussion. it may be in the cr archives.

(all the usual disclaimers, caveats and talismans apply of course)
