That must certainly be a record. 

Even for no-name calipers, the buyer must have REALLY wanted them. So did th e runner up, as I imagine it took at least two potential buyers to get the p rice into the stratosphere.

Seems the discussion earlier today centering around value, whether perceived or real, was quite timely. As parts such as these become more rare and less available, we are likely to see more situations like this. It's simply the law of supply and demand.

Is this a new record ?? The levers have five large holes drilled down the front, so they probably cannot be used for an original restoration ... did someone just pay $750 for a set of calipers alone ?? wowie !! I'll have to go dig out the half-dozen NOS sets I have sitting in my garage ... NOT !!
