Um, people, this price was absolutely market-correct. Perhaps even a very good deal, given the nutty prices for some questionable items lately on eBay.

The value was in the calipers.

Those cross eBay about once or twice per year perhaps, and these were not forgeries, were in very nice condition, and were complete with the oh-so-rare original center bolts (in unmolested condition).

I would have bid over a thousand Dollars for them, but was prevented from doing so by the seller.

Its certainly not a record - I have had no-name Campag callipers sell alone for over $800 - $700 or so is about what they always fetch - they really are rather rare.
