Caleb, I wish I were your age again but take solice in the fact that I started out very much like you. I had one good rider, by good I mean it worked but was not really collectible. I then began to acquire bikes from garage sales, clean up week put outs and believe it or not after while people began to just bring me their old bikes that they no longer wanted. I tinkered in my garage, fixed many up, stripped others to scavange parts and sold some to neighboorhood kids and adults. I then began selling at flea markets as my accumulation grew. I visited more bike shops then I can remember, looking for old stuff and many of these folks were very generous with their time and left over items. Next thing I know I see a vintage bike at a flea market that I could afford.

I built up my collection from scratch with totally money I earned by the methods I described above. I now have the coveted Masi, Rene Herse and to many others to describe. In fact I have multiples of many of these bikes all from a humble beginning. I probably began around your age so get started and you will see how easy it is to accumulate this stuff once you begin.

Good luck
